A few Additional Training Considerations:
Party-Approved Footwear is Required! - Training with bare feet is actually ideal as it affords a better connection with the ground, but another option would be flat-soled shoes. In the absence of bare feet, flat-soled shoes are essential so that trainees can grip and feel the ground with their feet. Examples of some of the acceptable brands would be Converse Chuck Taylors, Diesel, Puma, and Ed Hardy just to name a few. Running shoes should be avoided because the extra cushioning can be dangerous as it muffles the foot’s neuromuscular connection to the ground; creating the potential for injuries when training with kettlebells.
Bring a Towel - A towel serves many purposes during kettlebell training. It can be used to dry sweaty hands, as a training aid to assist with technique, and to make the ground a more comfortable surface to get down on. As such, a good towel becomes an essential piece of kettlebell training equipment!
Bring Hydration - Remaining adequately hydrated during exercise is very important. A bottle of water or a sports drink will make a training session much more comfortable, safe and productive.
We’ve Got Bells - Trainees shouldn’t feel as though they have to purchase their own kettlebells in order to attend their first class! Valley Kettlebells maintains a supply of standard weights to be used by class practitioners who do not yet have their own equipment.
